Creating a serial task from a member filter list
Available from 7 October 2026.
With a serial task you create the same task for all members of a member filter list in one step. Each member of the list gets their own task.
Prerequisites:
- Permission Manage tasks with the right Create
- Permission Manage member lists with the right Display
- The list is saved and its search results contain at least one member.
- Go to Members / Member filter lists and open the saved list.
- If you have changed the filters, click Update search results. As long as the search results are not up to date or the list contains no members, Create serial task cannot be selected.
- Click Create serial task in the list actions.
- Fill in the fields in the dialog: Task description (required), Additional Information, Assignment type, Assignee (required), Due date and Execution. Below the fields you see how many members the task will be created for.
- Click Create.
The tasks are created in the background, and a progress bar shows that the creation is running. When it is finished, the list shows the message "Tasks created for X members." If tasks could not be created for some members, their number is shown with the note Failed.
You then process the created tasks like any other task in the Tasks menu item.
