What is a catalog plan?
A catalog plan is a standardized, general training plan that you offer to your members in the app. Members choose a catalog plan themselves and activate it in the app, so you don't have to create an individual plan for every member. A catalog plan gives the structure of the training without individual values such as the training weight.
Prerequisites
Your role needs the permission Configure training plan templates (category Training). It also covers catalog plans.
Create a catalog plan
Open Training world / Training plans / Training plan catalog. The list shows all catalog plans of your studio. At the top right you have two options:
- Create catalog plan starts an empty catalog plan.
- Select template starts the catalog plan from an existing training plan template. Choose the template, click Next and check the details.
First you enter the plan details: Title, Description, Picture, Training goal, Training level, Trainer and Duration. If your studio works with several facilities, use Edit sharing settings at the top of the window to choose the facilities in which the catalog plan is available. A language selector is shown only if several content languages are enabled for your studio; then you can enter the title and description per language. Click Save to open the training plan builder.
In the builder you create the units and exercises as for an individual training plan. Unlike an individual plan, individual values such as the training weight are not specified, because each member sets them during their first training with the plan. These parameters are therefore greyed out in the builder. In the app, the member sees the sets and repetitions.
When the plan is complete, click Publish. As for individual training plans, every unit needs at least one exercise and at least one weekday before you can publish. To continue later, click Save draft.
You can also turn an existing member plan into a catalog plan: in the training plan builder of the member's plan, open the three-dot menu in the plan details bar and select Save as catalog plan draft.
Search and filter catalog plans
Above the list you can search by Name and filter by Training goal, Training level, Duration, Units per week and Status. With the Status filter you show only drafts (Draft) or only published plans (Active). Select the Show inactive checkbox to include deactivated catalog plans.
Click a catalog plan to open its overview page with all details, units, exercises and parameters.
Edit a catalog plan
The three-dot menu of a catalog plan (in the list or on its overview page) offers:
- Edit training details: title, description, picture, training goal, training level, trainer and duration.
- Edit training plan: units, exercises and parameters in the builder. If an unpublished change exists, this entry reads Continue editing.
- Export as PDF: creates a PDF of the catalog plan.
Note: When you edit a catalog plan, the plan changes for all members who have already activated it. The software points this out and asks whether you want to continue.
Deactivate, activate or delete a catalog plan
A published catalog plan has the status Active and is visible to your members in the app.
- Deactivate catalog plan: the plan is no longer offered in the app. Members who have already activated it can continue to train with it.
- Activate catalog plan: offers a deactivated plan in the app again.
- Delete catalog plan: you can no longer use the plan and members can no longer activate it in the app. Members who have already activated the plan can still train with it.
For a draft, the menu offers Delete draft instead.
Whether members may reactivate a catalog plan after completing it is set in Training world / Administration / Training configuration with the setting Allow members to reactivate a catalog plan after completion. This setting is only shown if the feature is enabled for your studio.
