Why are retroactive entries not possible?
In the software, you cannot add entries for past days. The system is designed so that all business transactions are recorded chronologically and immediately. Once a cash register closing has been performed for a day, it is documented for accounting purposes and locked against subsequent changes.
Legal requirements (KassenSichV & TSE)
The main reason for this restriction lies in the German fiscal regulations (KassenSichV, GoBD and §146a AO). This system operates cash registers with a Technical Security Device (TSE). This ensures that:
* All cash transactions are recorded in real time.
* Data is stored tamper-proof and chronologically.
* Every entry is immutably signed by the TSE.
Retroactive entries would violate these legal requirements and endanger the integrity of your cash register data.
Alternative: Make deposits and withdrawals
If you want to put money into or take money out of the cash register (at the current time), you can do this at any time via the menu. Go to Finance / Cash Registers. Click on the three-dot menu on the right for the respective cash register and select the option for deposit or withdrawal. This entry will then be recorded with the current timestamp and the corresponding TSE signature.
Alternative: Cancel entries
If you made a mistake in an entry, you can correct it using the integrated cancellation function. Find the incorrect entry in the cash register view and select the option to cancel. Please note that a cancellation is also an independent, logged process that does not simply "delete" the original entry but neutralizes it from an accounting perspective.
