- Go to Settings / Studio displays / Touchpoint devices.
- Create a touchpoint device (name, password, touchpoint configuration).
- Go to Settings / Access control / Device Manager.
- Add a new access device (or use an existing one in your device manager).
- Select the task Touchpoint Self-Service and link your touchpoint device.
- Back in Settings / Studio displays / Touchpoint devices, download the configuration script and run it on the touchpoint PC.
Add Touchpoint Device
To add a touchpoint device, go to Settings / Studio displays / Touchpoint devices in PerfectGym Next and click Create touchpoint device (top right).
Fill in the fields in the dialog:
- Name: Enter a clear name (for example, the location where the touchpoint is installed).
- Password: Set a password for employee setup on the touchpoint device. This password is independent from member authentication (card/transponder).
- Touchpoint configuration: Select the configuration you want to use for this touchpoint.
Click Create to save the touchpoint device.
Add access device in Device Manager
To authenticate members on the touchpoint via membership card or transponder, you need an access device connected via the Device Manager.
In PerfectGym Next, go to Settings / Access control / Device Manager and open an existing device manager (or create a new one). More details: setting up a device manager.
In the device manager view, open the three-dot menu (top right) and select Add device.
In the setup dialog, enter/select:
- Device description: A name that helps you identify the device.
- Task: Select Touchpoint Self-Service.
- Device model: Select the model you are using.
- Connection type: Select how the device is connected (for example USB or LAN).
Continue through the next steps of the device setup. Depending on your selection, you may be asked for additional technical details (for example a COM port) and optional settings (for example locker-related options).
In the last step, select your previously created touchpoint device in the field Touchpoint device and click Save.
Set up touchpoint display
In the final step, you run the configuration script on the touchpoint PC.
In PerfectGym Next, go to Settings / Studio displays / Touchpoint devices. In the three-dot menu of the touchpoint device, click Download configuration script.
Run the downloaded .bat file on the touchpoint PC and enter the password you set when creating the touchpoint device.
On the touchpoint, you will see the employee login screen. Enter the password and click Login.
