What is the Studio Touchpoint?
The Studio Touchpoint is a self-service solution for touch screens on site in your studio. After successful authentication via membership card or Transonder - depending on the configuration - your members can independently manage data and book additional modules.
What do I need to set up a Studio Touchpoint in my studio?
The setup of a Studio Touchpoint consists of several components. First, you need a screen with support for touch gestures. We recommend a model with a screen diagonal of about 30"-45". In practice, an ELO 42" has proven itself, but the smaller 32" version is used less frequently.
In addition, you need a mini-PC that is connected to the screen and on which the Touchpoint application runs in the kiosk mode of the Chrome browser. Here we recommend the use of a NUC.
In order for your members to log in with their membership card or transponder, you will also need an authentication device. If you want to use a network reader, you can use for example a Feig CPR 50-10-E transponder reader. As an alternative to the network reader, a USB RFID reader ACR 122U would also be an option.
If you don't have the necessary hardware yet, you can get it from our store at bedarf.de. We currently offer complete sets for screen sizes with 43" and 32". The sets contain the touch-enabled screen in the desired size, a mini PC to run the touchpoint application and a card reader (either a USB reader or a network reader).
Here you can find the hardware for the PerfectGym Next Studio Touchpoint 43".
And here you can find all components for the PerfectGym Next Studio Touchpoint 32".
How do I create a Touchpoint application?
You can create the Touchpoint application itself in your PerfectGym Next. Here you can customize the appearance and determine the self-service and booking functions available to your members. You can find detailed instructions on how to set it up in the two articles linked below.
Which functions can my members use?
Depending on the configuration, your members can use the self-service functions to update data, request idle periods, and manage contracts and additional modules. In addition, different booking functions for e.g. additional modules, classes, appointments and contract upgrades can be activated.
What are the advantages of using a Studio Touchpoint?
The self-service functions can reduce the administrative effort in your studio. Your members can make changes regardless of the availability of the studio staff.
The booking functions offer quick and clear access to additional bookable services and thus help to increase your turnover.
