What's changing
The navigation has a new, cleaner look and is now easier to customize.
It's now a lighter, collapsible panel on the left. The previous navigation has been replaced, the top bar has been simplified, and search is now built into the main navigation.
The menu items you use most often appear first, while the remaining items are available under More. With Customize navigation, you can choose which items appear in the main navigation and arrange them in the order that works best for you.
Your data, permissions, and access to product areas remain unchanged. Only the way you access those areas is different.
Note: The new navigation is being rolled out in stages and will appear in your system over the coming weeks.
Main navigation at a glance
At the top, you'll see the new top bar. The main navigation is on the left, with search now built right into it.
In the top-left corner, next to the page name, you'll see a sidebar icon. Select it to collapse the navigation or open it again. The icon is labeled Collapse navigation. When the navigation is collapsed, only the icons are shown. Hover over an icon to see the name of the area.
Search
Search is now part of the main navigation. The functionality stays the same, the design is new.
When you click Search in the main navigation, a dialog opens. There you search for members and employees as before. You can also open the search with the keyboard shortcut Cmd + K (on Windows: Ctrl + K), which is shown next to Search. Press Esc to close the search again.
„More“ menu
Not all menu items appear directly in the main navigation. When you click More, you see the remaining menu items that sit outside the main navigation. The More menu is also where you reach Customize navigation.
Customize your navigation
You can decide yourself which menu items appear in the main navigation and in which order. This way you set up the navigation around your daily work.
To do this:
- In the main navigation, open the More menu.
- Select Customize navigation. A dialog opens.
- Select or deselect the menu items you want to show in the main navigation. You can also use Select all.
- Drag the menu items into your preferred order.
- Click Save. The main navigation is updated.
Items you do not select appear in the More menu. At least one item must always remain visible in the main navigation.
Your permissions and your access to product areas do not change. You only set how the navigation is arranged for you.
Switch back to the classic navigation
During the rollout phase, you can switch back to the classic navigation at any time. This lets you get used to the new navigation at your own pace.
- Open the user menu at the top right.
- Turn on the To the classic navigation toggle.
This option is available during the rollout phase.
