Where are the vouchers predefined?
Your system allows you to sell value vouchers in any amount through the checkout. The recipients of the gift can use the vouchers to buy daily tickets, services, items, or consumption credits at your studio. Gift vouchers are an effective way to attract new customers and help you share your customers' positive experiences with potential new members.
To make the checkout process even faster, more efficient, and easier, you can create predefined gift vouchers with different values under Settings / Product management / voucher. This way, the voucher is just one click away from the shopping cart.
Sell voucher
In the checkout, you will find the product group Vouchers. You can either add an individual value voucher or a predefined value voucher to the shopping cart. If you choose an individual voucher, you are free to choose the amount and the duration of the voucher. If a customer comes to you spontaneously and wants to buy a voucher for 42,50 Euro - no problem!
By default, a voucher is valid for 36 months, i.e. three years. Of course, you can adjust the validity to your individual needs. With one click, you can give the voucher an unlimited validity.
Print the voucher code
After the sale, you will receive a voucher receipt including the voucher code in addition to the receipt. This code is important because only with this code your customer can redeem his voucher. Therefore, it is important that you either print out the code directly or write it on your individual value voucher.
The voucher also informs your customer about the validity period of the purchased voucher.
Redeem voucher
In the checkout, you will find the button Redeem Voucher in the shopping cart area.
Clicking on this button opens a dialog that prompts you to enter the voucher. Here, you enter the eight-digit voucher code that your customer has brought with them. Click on Check to verify the entered code. Your system will now briefly check if the voucher is still within the validity period and if there is still credit available. Depending on the result, you will get feedback in the same dialog.
It can happen that a voucher still has credit, but unfortunately, the validity period has expired. In such cases, your system will also inform you directly in the input dialog that the voucher has expired. Now you have the possibility to redeem the voucher anyway. Whether you want to do this is up to you.
If you enter a wrong voucher code or if the voucher has already been used up completely, you will receive an error message and can check another voucher code.
Remaining credit of vouchers
A customer has a voucher for your studio for 50 Euro. He buys a day pass for 20 Euro and pays with his voucher. Otherwise, he does not want to buy anything else today. The remaining 30 euros now remain on the same voucher, the voucher code thus remains valid.
Because your customer liked it so much, he came back the next day and bought a personal training session for 50 Euros. He uses his voucher again - this time for the remaining 30 euros. He pays the remaining amount of the purchase, i.e. 20 euros, with his EC card. Now the voucher is completely used up, and the voucher code is therefore invalid.
